LA-based, high-end photo booth app company Studio Booth delivers custom photo booth experiences at major events like Coachella, the Super Bowl, and other large public events.
We designed and built a photo booth app that could be seamlessly installed at events worldwide to elevate their event-day experiences.
Event-goers used the photo booth application to capture and share photos. Previously, Studio Booth’s setup required an on-site team, worldwide travel, and a significant amount of management.
To simplify setup and use, we built an app hosted inside a custom shell with simple user features that could be easily shipped and managed by clients.
The new, small device designed through our collaboration was easy to ship and required only an hour to set up by an event host.
These small devices could be installed in networks across a massive event, like Coachella, and managed from a central location.
We designed a custom filter feature on the app for users to personalize their images and curate their experiences.
We wanted to grant users the ability to activate the camera without touching the iPads. To achieve this, we used facial recognition technology to detect and activate a countdown 2 seconds after it was stable.
Studio Booth events capture extensive social, image, and location data critical to the business. Our custom dashboard allowed clients to track social engagement in real time.
We built the iOS and deployed it on iPads embedded within custom shells. AWS servers ensured secure setup and allowed the Studio Booth team to track their devices and enable or disable them from their NY headquarters.
Over a period of 2 years, we worked directly with the founders to iterate and develop numerous product releases and new initiatives, using a continuous delivery cadence.
